The restoration work carried out between 2012 and 2013 involved the external façades of the villa, the roof and wooden frames.
Built in 1858 on a project by the Milanese architect Giuseppe Balzaretto, Villa Andrea Ponti is the largest of the Ponti Villas complex and is characterized by neo-Gothic elevations embellished with architectural elements in stone and marble and bronze decorations. A book entitled “Villa Andrea Ponti a Varese tra storia e restauro” published by Skira was dedicated to the restoration in 2013.
